downloading and recording

Just returned to using VLC and downloaded the new version 2.2.2 32bit win 10. Been considerable changes since my successful forays in the past but I can't seem to figure out how this is done with the new version. Want to download and save some videos from lynda.com. Can someone please walk me through the steps. Don't know but I may not be able to copy her videos. The other things lynda.com does is in her video classes she covers a subject the makes a new movie for the following subject. Would there be a way to copy all of the movies to have them all copied at the same time in sequence.
