How do you use VLC in your business?

How you use VLC in your business, that's what I would really like to know here. Whether it be transcoding, distributed video playback (internal or external), as the media/DLNA server for a network, or as the basis of your media player programme (through libvlc or MobileVLCKit), it's all fair game. Also, if it's streamlined your production process, those stories are good too. Just please do not necessarily mention the names of the programmes you've replaced with VLC (due to a policy on discussing non-open-source media software). The reason for this thread is that obviously the relevant page on the wiki probably can't be really complete unless we know about how you're using VLC and it's cool to know about usages not listed there! VLC is popular, and I want to know just how much.
