Help: Copy Video With New Audio Soundtrack

Hello:

I wonder if someone can help me accomplish this task. I am using VLC on Windows.

I simply want to copy a video -- which does have an audio track -- and replace the audio with another file (the whole track).

What I've simply done is created a video using an editor; and I then was able to split the audio off (using AVideMux). I then "sweetened" the audio track; and now I want to replace the original track with my sweetened track. AVidEmux is creating a bogus video file for some reason on this end of the conversion.

The video is MP4; and the sweet audio is MP3. The track is complete end-to-end. It's about 39 minutes long. I can get VLC to PLAY the video with my new audio; but I can't figure out how to save this.

Any help? Much appreciated ...

P.S. I'm not using the editor for this (Camtasia Studio) because it will render the video, which takes a couple of hours! I just need to make a straight copy.

Oops! Never mind!

Apologies: I was actually configuring AVideMux incorrectly on the conversion back. I have succeeded.

Maybe I can delete this post: but actually I'm still very curious if someone can answer, since I would try VLC for the same task ...
