Alternatives to VLC player.

Postby SalloSurin » 09 Jul 2014 05:00

Windows XP; after updating Windows Media Player and resetting my computer,

1. If VLC plays in full screen, the video lags. The scree appears to pause while the move plays and then catches up.
2. Some DVDs, the volume skips.

I even upgraded to VLC 2.1.3.Win32.

I used to be able to play everything just fine. So, any good tips on another video player?

I've never had any issues with VLC and I am a big fan of all of the features. With that being said, if you are having troubles, there aren't many comparable players out there... Maybe Windows Media Player, just because of its popularity? Personally, I hate it.

i'd say vlc is the best media player i've ever used. certainly the one most capable of handling many video formats.

Please share your logs and try VLC 2.2.0-pre3
