VLC(M)

Postby John Edwards » 24 Sep 2013 19:31

I need to get a project uploaded to Youtube, I was told the program VLCM was the way to go, so far its not. I am running a Linux system 13.0 have VLC installed but even with what I have and am still not able to rollover Supporting codecs from here to Youtube.

My basic need is to take recorded CD's (original music recorded on a sound stage) to currently updated to VLC to Formats for Youtube seen here:
From Youtube: "Make sure that you’re using one of the following formats: MOV .MPEG4 .AVI .WMV .MPEGPS .FLV 3GPP WebM." I have not been able to find away to transfer my music using VLC over to any one of these formats. Does anyone here know what I am not doing or what I need to be doing but do not know how to do?

Thanks!

Ok, well I am getting a lot of readers to my original question but no answers so lets take another stab at it. In my several attempts to install VLCM with these codes (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rohityadav/vlmc;
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install vlmc) I am getting no where. Could my system be missing something? Again, I am looking to VLC to be able to convert my original recordings to fit the formats Youtube has and thought I would be able to using the VLC(M) options.
