Videos on Facebook

Guys! I am new here..I am not familiar how use it at all!!! and I am not sure if I am at right place to ask this question...I receive some videos on facebook..I click on it it does not open..what could be.. I have Vista home basic on my old Dell dimension 4550- Pentium 4....2 Gb System memory..it works great and fast..can someone help me?

Need more information than that. By videos do you mean you downloaded the video files and tried and open them in VLC? What type of video are they? What are VLCs messages (Tools >> Messages and set the "Verbosity" to 2 before opening the file)?
