Uploads to You-Tube

Im not sure if my question belongs in this topic but here goes . . . In the recent past, I've been able to upload videos, viewed then saved to my computer using VideoLan, to You-Tube. Those files used to be an .VRO file. Now they seem to be called an .xspf file after viewing and copying to my computer using VideoLan. Apparently, the .xspf file is not a "supported file type" for You-Tube, as the .VRO was. My question is: Is there a way to change the VideoLan file from an .xspf file to a .VRO file without having to download another type of program like Windows Movie Maker in order to upload to You-Tube? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I was able to change the video to a .VRO type file during the copying to my computer process, but now apparently this kind of file isn't uploadable to You-Tube. Any suggestions?

You are making a confusion: .XSPF files are playlists while the .VRO file is the real video file.
