Change password

I was just issued a new password which I have no hope of ever remembering.
Now I;d like to change that PW to one of choosing.
Have used the search function & checked the user control panel with no luck.
Generally sites make this an easy task, sorry I have to ask & not even sure if this is the best place to post.
