VLC Santa Hat?

I have been using VLC software for many years (as long as I can remember that I have a computer). For the first time this year I noticed the Santa Hat Icon (I cannot believe I never noticed it before). I really like it because sometimes I need small reminders to try and cheer up. So I was motivated to send a small amount of money / donation to VLC team (even though I am out of work a long time). Happy Holidays Everybody. Hopefully next year will be a better one.

I absolutely detest the Santa hat bs ...why is big brother watching a free open source program?... I find this invasive of the whole open-source idea the you know when I open VLC!... WHY ARE YOU SPYING?
