tempo accelleration

Postby aussieorchid » 24 Mar 2019 01:51

Hi at Videolan
I have a specific requirement which some one may be able to assist with.
I have been learning violin for some time and have been using VLC to learn new Irish and Bluegrass tunes.
I usually download MP4's from Youtube and then slow the track down so I can work out what notes are being played. (Sometimes using AB to work out particular parts)
The next step then is to play along and increase the speed little by little until I have the tune at a reasonable speed.
What I need in VLC is an 'increasing tempo' option which would allow for a section of an MP4 track to be played slightly faster each time it repeats.
Currently, I can only acieve this by asking my wife to click on the speed slider each time through. (an increase of 0.02 each time)
I guess I could connect a foot switch to my mouse and achieve a similar result.
Anyone got any ideas?

Use an external script to do that, on a key combination.
