Saving Preferences within a movie

Postby lupacexi » 20 Jun 2017 18:14

I have a number of movies which default to say Russian or Roumanian or some other language.
I can set my preferences via the Audio and Video options within VLC to no-subtitles and English language which works fine when I watch the film within VLC.
If I copy the film to a USB stick to watch on a SmartTV the changes have not been saved and the language of sub-titles that I do not want re-appear.
Is there a mechanism within the VLC options to save the same movie with for example English language spoken and NO sub-titles and this will become the default.
I'm new to this forum so hope this hasn't been asked of before.

Thanks

Not possible AFAIK.

The settings are global and not per file.

I am playing a foreign video but I cannot seem to display the English sub titles which I set on the preferences and sub titles. MY Os is win 10 prof 64 bit and I am using the VLC media player 2.2.6 Umbrella version. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. thank u.
