Edit & Re-Save A Pre-Recorded DVD Video File

Postby Phlurim » 20 Feb 2015 03:57

I am first-time user of VideoLAN Forums, and would like to know if the VideoLAN suite of s/w will give me the capability to do the following: I have a video I recorded onto a DVD-RW disk using a DVD recorder. The file type of the video file is ".VOB". I would like to edit this file and save the result to another DVD disk in a file type that will be compatible for playback on most DVD players, and via DVD devices on Mac and Windows computers. Please advise?

what sort of editing? cutting? i'm not sure vlc can let you do that.

vob is one of the files found on a standard dvd, along with .ifo files. i don't think vlc lets you convert to a dvd format. you will need to look elsewhere i'm not sure forum rules allow me to help you further
