File format

Postby hogwild » 27 Jul 2014 16:48

For purposes of a media library and streaming, is it best to store VOB files on hard drive or convert them to a different format?
If converting them is a better idea, what format is best?
I don't want to loose any video or audio quality.
Thanks.
