I'll admit I like the current VLC kickstarter, but I also would donate to one that fixes "normal" problems in VLC, similar to some of the comments here mention something along those lines:

Anyway I was happy to donate to this one, if only as a token of my appreciation for all the work you guys have put into this over the years.
I'd also be quite interested in donating to a kickstarter of "add full blu-ray spec implementation [minus aacs keys] to VLC" or the like, if that were even possible, anyway something to think about.
