Themes, eh? Try deviantART themes section.
Use the left panel to narrow down the operating system and and utility that you use and also click where it says "8 Hours" (toward the top of that page) and select "All Time" to see all of the results.

Have used VLC with Windows (Up to Win 7) and found it to be about the best player out there, not to mention the other things it can do. I would be interested in getting VLMC although it's more from an interest point of view than any kind of professional use. I now use Ubuntu Linux, 10.04. Where can I find a suitable version of VLMC. I quite liked the version of Windows Movie Maker they shipped with Vista, but the W 7 version seemed a lot less friendly.

Thanks, I did try searching the forums but for whatever reason I did find an answer.

By the way I did upgrade to VLC 1.1.13 using the command line method suggested and it seems to be working just fine for me.
