The State of Skins2 Development

I must say, I really like VLC.
So much that I started work on my first skin ever, for it.

I've documented the few snags I've run into so far there.
But I was just wondering, with all the patent issues going on, will there be an update/fixes to the skins2 functions like GroupId support and multiple actions on a button support, etc?

Or is safe to say that looking into porting my skin to winamp or a more some other player with robust skin support is the best way to go now?

Skins2 development has not stopped.

What do you mean with "GroupId support"? Radio buttons?

and as for GroupId..
I guess I really meant the id tags for images and the other common control attributes which are currently unused.
Not sure why I said group id..
