Wave editor for an audiophile

Postby CloudStalker » 28 Mar 2007 02:58

Can anyone recommend a really good wave editing program (preferably one that’s free)? Being an audiophile, I want to achieve the highest possible sound recording available (32 bit sample rate, 96/192kh playback).

I just want to be able to record some music from off a couple of 5.1 movies and games (2.0 stereo is also fine). So if anybody knows of a program that will do this, please drop me a link. Thanks.

Thanks allot @$im! It’s quite a nice program, although I’ll see how it holds up considering I’ve downloaded the Beta version. Thanks again. :D

For anyone that's interested, here's the link: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
