Command line LIVE input streaming help

I've built this command line, but it only results in dshow, no outgoing stream. I can stream from the GUI perfectly.

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" dshow:// :dshow-vdev="none" :dshow-adev="SoundMAX Digital Audio" :live-caching="300" input_stream :sout="#transcode{vcodec=none,acodec=mp3,ab=96,channels=1,samplerate=44100}:duplicate{dst=http{dst=:8081/audio.mp3},dst=display} :sout-keep"

What am I missing? Any help is appreciated.

Replace :sout with --sout. And I don't know where you got that 'input_stream' crap from.

I simply copied the " input_stream " from another thread user who claimed to have it working.

I've tried exchanging each and both instances of :sout with --sout with no change in results. I'm still only getting a dshow on the local machine - no streaming.

It may help to tell you I'm running Windows XP and VLC 2.0.0 Twoflower.

Thanks!

I find video dshow and stream completely kill 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 for me, so Ilm uninstalling those versions, going back to 1.1.5.

Still haven't gotten this to work. Any other ideas?
