I'm using vlc to stream webcam. Is it possible to capture the picture from the streaming webcam and save it locally? I've tried the new snapshot feature but no picture was taken .

you can make the stream play locally and get snapshots within VLC, using the 0.8.2 version.

Capture streaming from camera it's possible.
