DVBLAST re-tuning

I'm looking into a small efficient solution to stream DVB-S/S2 programs via IP to my STB (WDTV Live with WDLXTV Firmware). So no wonder I stepped over DVBLAST as a leightweight streaming gateway. But for my purpose it lacks tuning dynamically to different programs by means of a remote control. I understand DVBLAST is not a Video On Demand solution. So as it has already been stated in another thread (long ago) one should write a script that cancels dvblast and re-launches dvblast with new tuning parameters. But before I start writing an application and scripts or changes to dvblast, are there any plans to add dynamic tuning to dvblast whithout cancel the program via lets say dvblastctl (like reload can be used to select/deselect new services)?

I know there exist other solutions to stream programs from a server with DVB cards to a STB via IP like VDR etc. but I don't want to have the overhead of these applications, DVBLAST is just perfectly small to be used in front of a multi-switch on a low-power PC with several DVB-S2 cards.
