VLC crashes when transcoding to H264

Postby amar » 17 Apr 2011 16:22

VLC terminates unexpectedly when I try to transcode some ts files to H264. The original file contains a "stutter" at a certain point, and thats exactly where VLC terminates transcoding. I don't matter if the transcoded file also contains the stutter or skips a second of the original movie, but it should not terminate transcoding.

I tested versions 1.1.7, 1.1.8 and 1.1.9 of vlc on Windows XP SP3, all versions fail.

This is the command line I use to transcode:

Code: Select all

vlc.exe 03_original.ts --sout-standard-dst="03_transcoded.ts" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,venc=x264,acodec=aac}:std{access=file,mux=ts} vlc://quit
The original File (only the interesting scene) can be downloaded here:

http://www.netcat.li/ts/03_original.ts

The transcoded File can be downloaded here:

http://www.netcat.li/ts/03_transcoded.ts

I already opened a Ticket (#4603) 4 weeks ago, but nobody seems to care about it. I like vlc very much, congratulations to all of you who worked so hard for this and I would appreciate if somone could fix this bug.

Thanks very much
