I understand that VLC disagree's with Winamps take on how VLC will interact with Shoutcast.

Does this mean that in version VLC 1.1 that VLC will no longer be able to stream to a Shoutcast server as well? Or does it only pertain to listening to Shoutcast?

I have some upgrades I need to do on my server and I need to know if I should just start switching everything over to ICECast.

No. We only removed the shoutcast directory browsing in VLC standard installation.

Nothing about shoutcast playback or shoutcast streaming
