problem with vls unicast stream

Postby irishwhisk » 24 Jan 2005 23:33

I am trying to send a unicast stream from a pc running FC3T3 and VLS to a VLC client; however, whenever I call the vls command alone or with switches and options I get the error:
2005-01-24 17:10:16 [ERROR/Vls] Module "mpegreader:pvr" already registered
2005-01-24 17:10:16 [ERROR/Vls] Module "mpegreader:dvd" already registered

I am not sure if this is the issue that is preventing the stream from sending. I also dont know if I installed all correct libraries for vls to stream the type of file I am using. So my next question is without any extra libraries what types of files should vls be able to stream. I guess the error above and improper file types may be the same problem, seeing as the mpegreader is what takes the given file type and converts it into TS packets to be packed and streamed.

My final thought of the problem may be, I am trying to stream via UDP using the IPV4 address, when the pc im streaming to has both IPV4 and IPV6 listed, when i use the ifconfig command. I am pretty sure this is not an issue, because I believe the choice of IPV4 or IPV6 is left up to the user, but please tell if im wrong.
