DVBLast problem

I was trying to use DVBlast and Technotrend S2-3200 to stream MPEG4 multicast stream. But... without a success. I am using 64bit Ubuntu.
DVBlast streams properly MPEG2 S streams.
MPEG4 S2 tunes and locks properly, but the outcome is terrible... I see in VLC client computer very digitaly-damaged video. Mostly colorfull squares.

Has ANYBODY managed to stream DVB S2 source using DVBlast ??? What S2 card were you using ?

you should mail the dvblast mailing list.

To be honest I would rather saw VLC streaming DVB S2 :(
More and more channels are changing to DVB S2 and VLC is stil not able to use these streams so i had to switch to other program like faulty DVBlast :(

There is a patch on the mailing list of vlc for dvb-s2 support.

In fact DVBlast streams MPEG4 perfectly with DVB-S cards. I'm afraid support for TT S2-3200 in standard linux kernel is not quite good, which might be the reason for problems you're seeing.

TT S2-3200 was sucessfully tested with linux kernel 2.6.31.6 and DVBlast 1.1

Note that software decoding of H264 streams is very CPU hungry, so your machine with VLC might eventually be too slow to do it correctly.

I second that comment. TT-S3200 with Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit and DVBlast 1.1 works fine with both DVB-S and DVB-S2. As mentioned in previous comments, I would recommend using the latest vl4-dvb code for proper support of the TT-S3200 card.
