streaming from tv card with hardware mpeg2 encoding

Postby goldsmith » 23 Jun 2009 14:08

Hi,

I have PixelView BX2500 TV card with hardware MPEG2 encoding. Is it possible to stream MPEG TS without transcoding video? I tried with dshow but with no success. When I do transcoding to MPEG2 or H264 I have picture, but I want to reduce CPU overhead as much as possible.

Thanks

Yes, if you are sure that vlc can read the encoded video.
