VLC streaming to a board

Hi,

I would like to stream h264 file from vlc to my board(OMAP 3530 ). UDP transfer is working fine from my pc to board.
How can I encapsulate and send h264 over RTP/RTSP/RTCP and then. i would like to write my own client which receives pakcets from network and decode using my own decoder..

Can somebody help me.. how can i proceed..

the OMAP 3530 being the current ARM Cortex-A8 and its NEON SIMD unit means you can compile VLC for it , see ARM-XCompile

oddly,i cant seem to find you a ready made arm VLC Cortex-A8 for a linux right now, very odd given all the talk on the web about these CPU and its powerful NEON SIMD unit and linux.

MAKE SURE You check out Markos's libfreevec and perhaps (invite others to collectively ) work with him and his Freevec/Glibc optimised replacement to expand and improve app speed across the board and platforms.
http://www.freevec.org/content/libfreevec_ng for any new SIMD optimisations for the VLC Cortex-A8 , he's well respected in the SIMD circles, and knows his Algorithms and more so, tests them for speed and accuracy, see his Benchmarks....


take a look at Rebol view for your client/server scripting app for sending packets to any VLC,Mplayer,gnash etc... not sure if one of the existing Rebol core works with Cortex-A8 yet but you can ask them to compile one i suppose.
