Pb with changing AR for sout transcode

Hello,

I'm using VLC 0.8.6i to grab frames from a capture card (resolution is 640x480).
I'd like to transcode this to 640x360 (x264) as the source is 16:9. If I set "width=640, height=360", transcoded file is still 640x480.
Am I doing wrong ?

So there's no way to change aspect ratio while transcoding ?
