streaming tv on my lan

ok guys this is my problem i have a main computer on my lan is a windows xp and has a leadteck tv tuner 2000 deluxe, what i want to do is to be able to watch (see) the tv on my laptop that is on the lan.
So i need some info if i have to set up my firewall.. and what kind of settings i have to run in the vnc, guys.. i really need the help thanks.
I already tried to host the tv tuner and looks like viedolan palys it fine but i don;t know what other settings i need to be able to stream it.

The easiest way to do it is to get VideoLan to save the TV as a file on your hard disk, you can then open the file over the network. You can also rewind, fast foward the TV when you do it like this.
