Multicast - "failed to join IP Multicast group"

Hallo,

i got this error mentioned in the subject when i try to recieve a multicast Stream. Unicast Streams (and DVD) works fine with this system. (It's a remastered KNOPPIX-Linux with VLC 0.7.0).

So any idea what can cause this error??

1) Check whether you kernel has been compiled with multicast support

2) Add a route to 224.0.0.0/4 through your network interface
