How Can I use modified X264 in VLC

Postby aliamiri » 14 Jan 2009 01:58

I want to change features in x264. After compiling x264, I want to use the change x264 in VLC. Can you help me what should I do? Should compile rebuild VLC or I only need to recopy some of the file?

In general, is there any straight forward technique to use an arbitrary codec in VLC?
Thanks

You should recompile VLC's "x264 module" and relink it to your x264
