Hi,

Did anybody tried to put the same stream via VLC to multiple linux interfaces?

I have many 802.1q vlans, I want to stream to all LAN via the same VLC instance.

In topic: "how to make multiast routing?" some people had similar problems, but they didn't solve this.

I know that this is not VLC problem which interface should receive multicast packets, but maybe someone done this. I tried mrouted, but I can't force it to work.

best regards

Got any answer?

My problem was that i have 2 network cards and only one must be able to send multicast packets. VLC when starts gets one NIC to use and you can change it. To resolve i have created one static route for output multicast traffic (route command in windows)

Perhaps if you create a Team network card pair you could obtain all that you want.

Well, silly me! Can you tell me what a "Team network card" is? Or where to find out what it is?

Basically they are 2 NICs that works like a only NIC.

Both have the same IP but they are conected to diferent networks.

They are used in redundant systems, i could give you a model and more details if you want (but only in the next week)

Regards
