cannot play dump stored after streaming

Postby kvmsanand » 19 Aug 2008 23:41

hi everyone,
i have a iso-iec 13818-1 complinat transport stream file . I stream it using the udp protocol and TS encapsulation using VLC on to a udp port. I read the packets sent by vlc in my program on a udp port. After receving the packets , i just write them into another file.
After the whole streaming is done, i try to play the resulting file using vlc again, but it does not play.....
I dont know whats the resaon? I check the first few bytes of the two files, they look the same. I imagine if there is some PSI information missing??

i just use the vlc GUI for streaming the file, Also i observe that the streamed packets have different PIDS for video packets , audio packets...

I read some posts and they say that the vlc remuxes the transport stream but still i could not even play the resulting file.

any pointers on this would be helpful....

thanks in advance

regards
anand.
