The VideoLAN Forums

We are having trouble with just a few connections maxing out our bandwidth. When we used WMS there was a setting for a variable bit rate when congestion was a problem. I am not clear how to accomplish this with VLC. Any examples on how to get this to work with live and archived streams would be appreciated.
