I searched Google for a few keywords to find what I was looking for (Free utility to play codec G729 audio file), but apparently I'm brain-damaged at the moment.

Can VLC play this type of codec ?

Thanks

hello vlc gurus !

I know this thread is quite old, but as the original author, I performed a google request on "vlc g729", and found this post.

March 14, 2008, I think at least one release has been done since then, but I don't know if g729 has been included in those releases, it does not appear in features page in audio formats tab. Or maybe it's hidden behind a format I'm not aware of.

Thanks lot,

you, big cone-huna, rock !
