S-Video streaming in Windows XP.

Postby LeHardi » 22 Aug 2004 00:46

I have WinFast 2000 XP Expert TV card and I'd like to stream TV programs to my home LAN. But I can only stream only one TV channel.
1) How to change it to the other channels?
2) How to choose S-Video as a input source - when I'm checking in this option in preferences it nothing changes - I have still one channel from TV tuner.

Greetings

I have also had this problem, and found that the best solution is to first open the TV stream to the default tuner channel. Then on the server side, run your usual TV tuner software to control the channel.

When you open the tuner software, you'll probably get several errors about accessing the directdraw support, or something equivalent. Ignore them. Eventually, the tuner software loads, and I can control the channel and input (tuner, s-video, etc). I typically have VLC running along with VNC (virtual network client, http://www.realvnc.com), so that I can control the server settings (channel, file, etc) from the client machine.

Anyone know of a way to change TV tuner settings on the client side?

I also have this problem. but it's strange that the TV tuner program works while capturing, it should work with only one application at a time. However I'll try.
