round-robin streaming from several cameras?

I have several IP cameras, and I can stream from them using VLC.
Howver, I'd like to make one stream from all of these cameras - the cameras should just change in that stream in a round-robin way (one after another would be another way).
Is it possible to do so with VLC?

So you want to alternate the streamed camera like every 5 seconds (might be possible ... never tried it though)? Or stream all cameras on the same pic (definitively possible)?

I want each camera to show its stream for 5 or 10 seconds - in other words, to cycle through them all the time, each showing for a couple of seconds.
Streaming all cameras on the same pic would be also an interesting addon - but the "cycling through cameras" thingy is a necessity

Mangoo,
It would be very interesting from many VLC users you could share a tutorial how to stream video from IP cameras using VLC. I have an Intellinet IP Camera but until now I have not had any sucess to stream anything. This IP camera uses an authentication method via HTTP to let you watch the video. Is there a VCL command let me submit an username and password to have access to the camera.
