Hello,
What a magnificent piece of code is the new VLC Client 0.7.2.
I'm using:
Dreambox
Windows Xp as Server (Here is a VLC client installed, not using VLS)
Windows Xp as Client (Windows Media Player)
Internet Explorer 6.0
I Tried:
Start up VLC trough GUI. Start Stream Wizard, select a TS file (previous recorded by the dreambox), and select streaming method, fill everyhting in and hit start.
When i point my media player to mms://ipserver:port it start playing.
Back to VLC GUI client and select Settings>Add User Interface>Web Interface.
When i start up the web page http://ipserver:8080 i get a web page.
Problem:
When i press ADD button at "Add a MRL (Media Resource Locator) to the playlist " it doesn't respond correctly. I tried several kind of entries:
c:\records\pink2.ts (pink1.ts is same directory is playing and showed at the buttom of the VLC Webclient page)
file:c:\record\pink2.ts
http:\\ip:80\pinkt2.ts (i'm running another web server on xp and had put pink2.ts in de the root of this webserver)
Every attempt fails,
When i add the pink2.ts trough the stream wizard is adds up in de the playing list just fine. (I Hit F5 in de web browser and it show pink1.ts and pink2.ts, i can click on them and the other starts streaming)
Question 1:
What is the correct method to use the webpage to add files to get streamd by VLC ???
Question 2:
Can i make a command which does the following :
1 start the webbased VLC control page on port 8080
2 creates a playlist of a complete subdirectory filled with TS files (movie directory of dreambox)
3 start streaming the first file of the playlist with specified settings, i;m using the following right now : :sout=#transcode{vcodec=WMV2,vb=192,scale=0.5,acodec=mp3,ab=96,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=ts,url=:9080}}
I only need something to refresh the playlist sometimes....
I'm verry curious what i;m doing wrong about question 1..... Hope somebody can help me.
Best Regards Tom
Next step will be to Grab the NGRAB stream with the VLC client and make the stream smaller and stream it to the internet. If somebody has some info about that.... It is the next step, but hey, you can help me in advance.....
