Port 23. (default)
Make sure your network (router) will supply a DHCP address.
If not I recommend MagikDHCP. Its a shareware DHCP server for all
Windows platforms.

Hi, I tried telnet to the IP of STB 172.20.41.70: telnet 172.20.41.70 and gave an error.
telnet: Unable you connect you remote host: Connection refused.
I have DHCP in my net. If you will be able to help was thankful.
Thanks

Hi,
I think it's not possible to configurate a Amino STB with telnet!
There is no telnet interface implemented to the box.
The only way to config is via Amino config keyboard!
I have tried to config 110, 124 and 125 with telnet but it don't work!
Regards
Helix

The Amino boxes run a Linux operating system and get configured by the owner. (if provided by a content (movie)
provider). They can include a telnet server for support personnel or rely completely on the unit getting a fresh boot
image (ie: bootp) when the unit powers up, this is more common because of security with their video on demand movies.
A factory image does indeed have the telnet and there are some settings you can adjust using VI editor in Busybox.
Check past posts on the root user's password.
I personally have decided to go to a media server PC. Enclosures are getting really fancy and with the 3D video
cards run PC based games and display internet web pages far better than the Amino boxes. Please note that
VideoLan is the center of playing music and movies.
