VLC 0.8.6, using the GUI (& the wizard).

Am trying to stream from suse 10.2 to an xp & win2k client on the same internal network. All pc's can ping each other, but I'm unable to connect to any stream. I can play the dvd locally on suse & also tried streaming from the win2k client to the xp client (with no success). I've disabled the suse firewall (thinking that port 1234 was being blocked), but still no success.

What am I doing wrong?

Warning, am newbie to both VLC & Linux :)
