Multicast is known to kill most wifi access points. So you'll have to find another solution.

802.11 WiFi and multicast streaming just don't go togther. Sending high bandwidth streams out of on a shared media network just isn't a good idea.

It does work, I can watch a 5Mb/s DVB rebroadcast over the 802.11a WiFi at work - but this is via an expensive tri-mode cisco access point and i'm the only person in the area with a 802.11a network card.
