Can VideLAN be configured to work as a Cache Server?

Postby spohn » 08 Jun 2006 21:36

Hi,

I'm wondering if the VideloLAN server can be configured to work as a cache server. For instance, would I be able to configure VideoLAN as depicted below?

Code: Select all

Streaming Server A +---------+ +- Client C \ | \ VideoLAN | INTERNET +-----+ Cache +----+ / Server | Streaming / | Server B +---------+ +- Client D
Thanks,
Marcelo

Why not ...

For instance :

inputs : Streaming server A ip address
outputs : Multicast IP address or RTSP (VoD)

It should work ...

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
