Trouble with TTL in multcasting

Postby maggi » 07 Jun 2006 23:11

Hi

I am having problem with multicasting through routers with VLC.

I am using
:sout=#standard{dst=std,access=udp,mux=ts,url=235.6.7.8:2234,ttl=15}
with no luck.

Can anyone tell me the right syntax for the command line ?

Multicast from another system (Sidsa) is working fine through the routers.

Hi

I am still having problem crossing the routers with VLC

This is my command:

:sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp{ttl=12},mux=ts,url=235.6.7.8:1234,sap,name="SapName"}}

Well unless your routers know how to route multicast ... you won't be able to cross them.
