no suitable access module for 'rtsp://xx:5554/test'

everytime i try to stream RTSP I get the following message:

livedotcom error: describeURL failed (connect() failed: Unknown error)
main error: no suitable access module for `rtsp://192.168.11.100:5554/test'

am I missing something from my install?

How do you config your rtsp server?
Could you post it, maybe we could find the problem there ...

Hello this is another user. I have same problem . my configured options

./configure --disable-wxwindows --disable-skins2

I already installed ffmpeg,mpeg2dec, libdvdpd, libmad libraries

I can play windows VLC (rtsp://server:9090/test.sdp)

but, In linux VLC, It was able to play.

Can you help me.?

Hi,
After upgrading to Fedora Core 5 I have the same problem. Google seems to hint that the live component (which supports rtsp) has been moved to mplayer and that leeds me to belive that this has broken VLC's support some how...
