how cast multiple unicast-strems via http?

Hi everyone!
I have installed VLC 0.8.0 on Windows (since it is the last version known to work with the movieplayer-client on my neutrino-linux-dbox2).
I have set it up as a windows service and with the "--extraintf=http" option to cast via http.
So far, it works fine one one client at a time.
Now I want to access muliple files from multiple clients on my network in parrallel unicasts, but everytime I start a stream from the second client, the first client loses the stream as soon as the second stream starts. vlc just seems to serve just one stream at a time.
what did I do wrong? I did not find an answer in the wiki or the faqs...
best regards, cizko
[edit] my pc is a 2GHz AthlonXP with 1 GB RAM and the System Load is on about 20% while serving a single stream and my network is linked via a 100mbit fast ethernet-switch so bandwidth or systemperformance is not expected to be a problem.
