Selecting Audio Track : VLC Streaming CLI

Postby skrillac » 23 Feb 2016 06:52

Hello all,

I am looking for a way to select the audio track or language in a vlc command like below:

Code: Select all

nvlc -vvv playlist.xspf --sout '#transcode{acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2}:std{access=http,mux=ps,dst=:8080}'
I have been looking at the VLC Streaming Wiki, but haven't found any modules that allow track selection. Here is my situation. I have several video files with multiple tracks of audio. I want to stream only an english track, specifically a single english track. Is there anything I can add to the above command to accomplish this? Thank you.
