Wifi streaming problem.

Postby kielbasa » 14 Apr 2015 14:57

Hi!

We're having a prolbem with wifi streaming.
We're trying to send the signal via UDP over wifi to our tablet to be able to watch the video that is being recorded. Video camera is connected to laptop with a cable, laptop sends the signal over wifi.
Under UDP config we put tablet ip - 192.168.1.3:1234 (1234 is a default port, should we change it?).

While trying to watch a video on tablet, an error pops up saying:

'Your input can't be opened. VLC is unable to open MRL 192.168.1.3'

Any hints how to solve this issue?

Ok, I got rid of the error, just needed to write 'udp://' before the ip address.
But now, the screen is black and nothing happens.

Laptop UDP config: transcoding Mpeg-2, target - 192.168.1.3:1234 (should I write here 'udp://' as well before ip?)
Tablet config: open>streaming source> udp://192.168.1.3:1234

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
