http-user-agent problem

Hello,

I'm trying to restream a video with vlc on my Debian dedicated server. The problem is VLC cannot connect to the server and I'm trying to bypass it with the the command --http-user-agent=xine/1-rc6

But if I check the access.log of the server, I can see the User-Agent is xine/1-rc6 LibVLC/1.1.3
It works on a Windows server but not on my debian server. How can I fix this problem?

Best regards

So I found the problem. On Debian squeezy is the version of VLC 1.1.3
I installed now Debian wheezy and the version here is 2.x
