stream dreambox remotely

Postby hakalati » 06 Aug 2012 14:04

My project is to watch dreambox remotely on computer with remote control.

I have DM7025 in one house and upload about 2MBit and here is computer which will do transcode. I used this
http://wiki.blue-panel.com/index.php/Dr ... ng_mit_VLC
instruction in german and it works somehow but its not very usable.

First I have to change channel from my servers webinterface and when start playing from my client desktop.

I have no idea how is it possible to make that it will work more clever. Maybe some commands to server via ssh which are send from client and stream opened after that?
Is it possible to use in windows software dvb-viewer. Is deinterlacing better to do on server or client?

Hope somebody helps with answer.

Thanks!

What I need is that I configure on server side stream paths like http://2312323132&122:8080 with some attributes and when I choose one it start to stream some channel with 2 Mbit. Is it possible or is it too difficult.
I just don't want to deal with webinterface. Much easier is change channels in vlc playlist etc. Could anybody help?

Regarding deinterlacing, I would advise you to leave it to the client since it can save up on the server's CPU usage
