Modify sout parameters

I use the following code to stream UDP packets accross the Internet. I receive it in another vlc but problem is that the quality is quite bad. Can anyone offer a modification?

vb=8 (the video bitrate) is too low....
try vb=500 or higher if you have the bandwidth.
