Streaming Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 - help !

Postby jrleighton » 21 Jun 2006 12:14

Hope some kind soul(s) can help me before I go crazy.

I have a LAN at home, and am trying to stream from one PC (with the titled capture card) to another. Looking at the forums, it seems that some people can get this MPEG2 output card to stream video, but not audio. I can get neither to stream! Both PCs are using VLC and Win32XP.

I use the wizard to select my video capture device - the device is listed in the video device list, but not the audio device list - is this an issue, and if so - how to tweak the advanced settings....it's not looking obvious unfortunately for an old man such as me.

I use HTTP streaming (and play locally is selected too) and ASF (and tried the MPEG TS / PS ), but none of these setting seem to work.

Can anyone who's had a sucess with this card please jot down their settings ?

Many thanks in advance for whatever help is on offer.

Really appreciate the above suggestion, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the solution from user:notorius to work - not with my card.

Any other tips out there ? I guess someone must have got this figured out.

Thanks for any help out there (also have posted on the WinTVcap forum to help me get user:notorius solution to work, if poss)

are you using terminal server to manage the capture machine ? you must use the capture machine directly.
